R. Bentley Marlow and a group of volunteers have built a house from pallets and plywood. The material was donated by local businesses as industrial waste. The structure is based on plans by I-Beam Design as a concept to provide homes for refugees of wars and disasters. Bentley and his crew built the house at the Knoxville Botanical Garden and Arboretum at 2743 Wimpole Avenue in Knoxville as part of Big Ears Festival and the Rhythm N’ Blooms Festival. The structure will be open to the public until 15 April, 2014.
