The Spirit of Nations Powwow, one of the best regional events of the year, is scheduled for Saturday, August 13, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. For the second year in a row, the powwow will be held at Patriot Academy, 419 W. Dumplin Valley Road, Jefferson City, TN. Tickets are $5 for Adults, $1 for Children, and free to pre-school children and veterans. The powwow schedule is available at the end of this article.

The event organizer is Indian Creek Productions. Since 2002, Indian Creek Productions has provided a variety of educational programs for educators, students, and the general public.


Extra special this year is a powwow dance competition with adult, youth, and children’s categories.  Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 3 winners in the adult category.

Also returning this year are the popular Aztec Dancers performing an exhibition dance.


By popular demand, this will be the first year event t-shirts will be available for sale while supplies last. Prices range from $15 to $18.

This year’s silent auction is loaded with excellent merchanise and crafts. Prizes include tickets to Dollywood, Knoxville Symphony, Ober Gatlinburg, Aubrey’s Restaurant, and more. A football autographed by the University of Football coach and staff will also be up for auction. You do not need to be present to win.


The powwow’s popular children’s activities will be provided throughout the day.

Concessions will be available, including Indian tacos and more!
